"The Exchange"
Endorphins gone wild
release infantile laughter
from the gleeful young!
Elder eyes reciprocate
untamed joy,
over and over again!
Young one stares back
ponders response,
catches breath,
refrains joyfully so!
Old child jublient,
awashed in tears,
cries happily ever after!
The delicate decision

This is so sweet. Speaks of laughter at all the stages of our life!
BTW, I noticed a couple of typos..
Gleeful---Gleaful
Reciprocate...recipricate
Hope you don't mind my saying so!

That last stanza takes me home to my wide-eyed source of joy. This is lovely. Thank you.

I enjoyed your haiku series. :)
I loved the phrase untamed joy also, marvelous!
I haven't really felt gleeful in some time, perhaps it is left to only the young at heart?
How lovely the laughter of childhood! :)
the best kind of contagion... a good old fashioned laugh.... excellent verse...
Loved it all. My favourite words were 'untamed joy'. It just seems to say it all.
Thanks
These are lovely in their truths.... old and young need one another. Great theme and words.
The contagiousness and endlessness of the exchange. Lovely.
The circle of life! It is great. I see a great family gathering or a family of many generations that lives together (what a special gift that would be). This is beautiful.
