My goodness! "Terminal travelers" is wonderful. We are all that, stranded in some manner or form. Those meetings make all the difference. Writing in Faith: Poems
I seem to be reading it the other way around than Sandy and willthink4wine: the people we have known for years have been and always will be strangers. It seems to be a common theme with many poems this week: we are together, yet always alone.
This really is wonderful... it can be read literally or as an allegory... and as others have said, it is open to whatever we fellow travelers bring to it. Magnificent.
My reading is that regardless who one meets, there is some common thread that unites us all. We are all stranded on this plane of existence for now, but we can occasionally meet those who have that shared experience of "the journey."
words and memories can grow, stablize, expand or shrink once they enter ur system.they r not pathogens with a destructive intent, but like terminal illnesses, these 'terminal travelers' [could someone illuminate]stay with u till the journey's end.craft more words,go on!..
wow.. i absolutely love kuz like this... a thousand words and thoughts for everyone with so few words... it amde me stop and ponder..think... imagine...
startling how this haiku stirs up multiple images within
I’m late to visit because ‘life’ got in the way, but I did publish two ‘week 6’ posts for One Single Impression: Stranded ... one on each of my blogs on Wednesday of last week and I hope you’ll find time to visit. They’re here: Heliocopter Rescue and Polar Bears Hugs and blessings,
I am a busy woman! I am married to a State Trooper. We have a 21 year old daughter in her sophomore year in college, an 18 year old son and twin 9 year old sons. I work as a Para-professional with Special Needs children. Yup. I'm busy!
One Single Impression is a community of poets writing and sharing haiku and other poetic forms. Each week we will offer up a new prompt that we hope will inspire your writing. We invite participants to share ideas for prompts, too.

Isn't it amazing how like circumstanses can quickly connect people? We always need to know we're not alone, don't we?

I really like the way you can read this poem both ways and it still rings true. Terminal travelers is awesome.
Really very awesome. I love it both ways, as those before me said.
